• Extreme Performance: This one’s for the hardcore enthusiast who wants maximum impact. It’s an extreme exhaust for vehicles with a “take no prisoners” attitude (not available for all models!) For the off-road enthusiast, MRT launched the new Mountain River Trail lineup which offers 2 different sound profiles designed to convey a sense of powerful capability and performance on the trail or in everyday driving:

• Trail Rated: The most well-rounded performance sound with a deeper, baritone note that’s noticeable yet not overwhelming, ideal for daily driving and off-road excursion.

• King of the Hill: This one’s for the off-road purist seeking an aggressive exhaust note that demands attention, delivering increased sounds from the engine and turbo burbles on deceleration.

So, how do we achieve these incredible sounds? It’s all in MRT’s sound engineering process that involves a deep understanding of how gases flow and resonate through the system. By strategically implementing specific muffler designs, resonators, and pipe diameters within our axle back, mid-pipe and catback configurations, we sculpt the sound waves to maximize performance and minimize exhaust gas back pressure.

The sound engineering designs are delivered via a handcrafted manufacturing process. We use mandrel bend exhaust tubing for smooth gas flow paths and premium T304 stainless steel for improved corrosion resistance.  Whether it’s an axle back or a full catback system, we focus on crafting a quality sound that has character and complements the vehicle’s personality; not just hitting a certain decibel level.
